“We teach people how to use the arts for mental and emotional health”

-First Aid Arts

First Aid arts has been a leader in bringing effective arts-based resources to trauma survivors and those who care for them since 2010. Their trainings and toolkit programs are informed by neurological and psychological research that supports the use of arts-based psychosocial resources to promote resilience and reduce the symptoms of post-traumatic stress. Thus, these trainings equip responders, facilitators, and partners, in the areas of:  psychoeducation, working with distress, self-care, multi-modal arts, and group facilitation.

As a First Aid Arts Facilitator, I can offer group trainings for 12 individuals at a time that will teach adults or children to use the arts through body movement, dance, drawing, coloring, music, singing, and journaling along with several other tools as ways to ground themselves and calm their nervous system from stress and trauma triggers.

You do not have to be artistic to learn these tools.
